All Stars Cricket comes to Woodhouse Grange
Woodhouse Grange Cricket Club are delighted to be involved in the new All Stars Cricket program initiated by the England and Wales Cricket Board.
This is a fantastic opportunity to give children aged five to eight their first taste of playing cricket.
Held on Friday evenings this spring/summer, the sessions will be run by a dedicated coach, who will aim to make them fun whilst developing the childrens' skills.
Not sure whether cricket is the right sport for your son, daughter, niece, nephew, grandchild etc? Why not come along to one of our FREE TASTER SESSIONS on 19th May or 26th May.
Woodhouse Grange are a highly successful family-orientated cricket club, based on the outskirts of York. Our first team have won National Village Cup competitions at Lord's, and claimed more York & District Senior League titles than any other sides. Many of the players featuring in this success have risen through our junior ranks.
We run junior teams at all levels from under 9 to under 15, plus Academy and Intermediate XIs for those in their mid to late teens.
With four senior teams playing mainly on Saturdays, there is a pathway for young players to graduate to senior cricket, whatever the level.
We have a collection of ECB qualified cricket coaches, all of whom are DBS checked, who help to develop players' skills throughout the junior age-groups. Additionally we have ECB Clubmark accreditation and a dedicated Child Welfare Officer.
All girls and boys aged 5-8 are welcome, and each registered child will receive a pack of cricket goodies including a cricket bat, ball, backpack, water bottle, personalised shirt and cap to keep so that they can continue their love of cricket when they go home.
We look forward to sparking the interest of young cricketers this spring/summer.
