Monthly Draw terms & conditions

The Promoter
1. The promoter of this competition is: Woodhouse Grange Cricket Club, Sandhill Lane, Sutton-upon-Derwent, York YO41 4BT.

Who can enter
2. Entrants must be aged 16 or over to qualify.
3. By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions. The instructions provided at the point of entry form part of the terms and conditions of this competition. In the event of a conflict, these terms and conditions take precedence.

Deadline for entries
4. Entries for the inaugural draw (to take place early April) must be received by 23:59 on Monday 22 March 2021.

5. The competition will remain open to new participants at all times, who will be entered into the draw that follows completion of their payment registration.


How to enter
6. To enter, simply go to woodhousegrangecc.co.uk/draw, follow the instructions on the page and submit your details and other required information using the online form provided. Multiple tickets per month can be purchased in a single registration under the same email address.
7. An email from membership@woodhousegrangecc.co.uk will be sent to the registered address, formally inviting you to join the competition. A link will be provided for you to complete your sign-up on a secure web page; where you select your ticket allocation and register credit/debit card details for recurring monthly payments to be taken.

8. Entries will be deemed incomplete until the payment registration has been completed.

Payment process

9. Your credit/debit card details are not seen by Woodhouse Grange Cricket Club; they are registered securely with our third party payment processor https://stripe.com, with encrypted links to your membership record in our database.

10. Payment for the agreed amount will be taken from the registered credit/debit card on the 1st day of each month, until such times as you choose to opt out of the competition.

11. Should payment not be cleared successfully 24 hours prior to the draw, then your entry will be invalid for that month. We will however endeavour to contact you prior to this where possible.

12. Where payments are unsuccessful, we will contact you and invite you to register new or alternative credit/debit card details.

13. You may receive contact from us in advance of payment card expiry, inviting you to register new or alternative credit/debit card details.


The Draw Process

14. The draw will be conducted or witnessed by members of our Executive Committee, usually in the first or second week of the month.

15. All entries where payment has been successfully cleared for that month will be entered into the draw.

16. All such entries will be input into a random draw selector application, or equivalent method, with the first ticket drawn winning the grand monthly prize.


The prize
17. Prize money is dependent on uptake of the competition, however for the first three draws (April, May & June 2021) this will be no less than £100. We hope to increase the prize value as popularity of the competition increases.

18. We reserve the right to reduce the prize value should entries diminish, however will endeavour to inform participants of any such changes in advance.


Winner notification
19. The winner will be notified by email within 7 days of the draw, using the contact details provided with the competition entry. The winner will be required to respond within 14 days of notification confirming their acceptance of the prize. In the event that the winner does not respond to communications within this period or if any prize is declined, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify that winner and draw another winner.

Data protection and publicity
20. By entering the competition, you agree that any personal information provided by you with the competition entry may be held and used by the Promoter or its data processors to administer the competition (in accordance the Promoters’ Privacy Statement). Personal information collected to enter the competition will be used solely for the purpose of the competition. If you have opted-in to receive the Promotor’s All club communications, you agree that the Promoter may use and store these details to send you their regular email bulletins on all club matters. If you have chosen to receive Monthly Draw/Membership only emails from the Promoter, this communication will be limited to announcements and administration issues for this competition; plus, if you are a member of Woodhouse Grange Cricket Club, contact regarding membership payments and connected administration. If you are the winner of the competition, you agree that the Promoter may use your name to announce the winner of this competition and for any other reasonable and related promotional purposes, for no further consideration.

Limitation of liability
21. The Promoter and its associated agencies, companies and distributors will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this competition or accepting or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including liability for fraud or death or personal injury arising from negligence) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum permitted by law. Your statutory rights are not affected.

General
22. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions or if the Promoter believes that your conduct may be unlawful or otherwise bring the competition into disrepute, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to make your entry void and will entitle the Promoter to exclude you from participating in the competition.
23. The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the competition is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
24. The Promoter reserves the right to suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so, with no liability to any entrants or third parties.
25. This competition and all issues arising out of it shall be governed in accordance with English Law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
